Like many other people, I’m trying to make sense of a post-referendum Scotland. I voted Yes on September 18th, and like most who did the same was heartbroken when we remained in the UK. I voted yes because I truly believe that nothing will change if we remain governed by the private-school, London elite. I was duped into voting Lib Dem in the 2010 General Election, which shattered any faith I had in a union alternative. I want social change for Scotland, I want a fair deal for everyone who lives here.
There are a lot of questions that those of us who wanted change are asking. What happens to the 45%? Do we as a society remain politically engaged? Will we ever get the chance of independence again? Will we be punished by the Westminster Government? Who do we vote for now?
This blog is me trying to understand what the future holds for Scotland, and documenting the next step in our journey along the way.
